Larry Nicholas 9K
Date: October 22, 2017 - 10am start time
The Larry Nicholas Memorial Cross-Country Race has been a stalwart of the Kelowna Running Club and Interior Running Association race series for over 30 years.
Larry was an avid athlete with a love for running. His untimely passing while rock climbing in the mid-1980s has been celebrated every year since through this Run that sponsored by the Kelowna Running Club but driven by his mother Donna Nicholas and their family.
The Larry Nicholas Memorial is a fun day including both 4 and 9 KM cross-country routes. This park is a wonderful retreat where you can transition from city to the trails in minutes.
Once the 9 KM is completed (roughly 11:15), the StrongKids are set loose to run age driven distances from 1 KM to 3 KM.
Mission Creek Regional Park - 2363 Springfield Road (intersection of Springfield and Durnin Roads).
This is a 9K race with 3 loops near Mission Creek EECO Centre. (The 4K is only 1 loop).
