Commando Bay Run
Please join us for our annual run towards Commando Bay and back. This is a fantastic trail run through some of the most beautiful and varied scenery in the Okanagan Valley. You will run through forest and open vistas, canyons and lake views. While the full route is approximately 26 km., runners may turn around whenever they wish.
Most runners meet between 7:00 A.M. and 7:30 A.M. at the trailhead near 7595 Lakeshore Drive and run part of the way. Those hardy individuals who plan to go all the way to Commando Bay beach usually start around 5:30 A.M.
We ask all runners to sign in and sign out. A sign-in sheet will be provided at the trail head. For safety purposes we want to ensure that all runners have returned. We also encourage everyone to run with a partner or in a group.
There is one small bridge off a right hand turn - it has been washed out. But no problem - go straight for 50 feet and then turn right and follow the orange tapped pathway.
After the run join us for a light breakfast at Bertram Park. Commemorative hats will be provided there to paid up running club members who participate. There is no charge for this event.
As is the case with all of our Saturday runs, you do not have to be a Kelowna Running Club member to participate. Walkers are always welcome.
Please join us.

New Membership Registration/Renewal Process
The Kelowna Running Club is going more digital and is taking all new memberships and renewals online, via www.trackie.com. As part of this process all money must move through Trackie.
This process streamlines the registration process. All members are provided insurance coverage by BC Athletics. In the past, when registration was done in person, Liz or Diane had to track down all the personal information about the registrant, go to BC Athletics website and key in that information. Now Trackie will automatically transmit that information to BC Athletics and deposit the registration fee to our bank, saving Liz and Diane countless hours and minimizing the chance of errors (not that they ever made an error in the past).
The process is fairly straight forward.
Step 1 - at the top of this page click on ABOUT and select Join KRC – (or go directly to the membership form at Trackie)
Step 2 - Fill out your information and select membership type.
Step 3 - Click on Proceed to Step 2 and enter payment information and agree to waivers and then click on Confirm Registration. You may want to print your receipt.
Your cooperation in this regard will be greatly appreciated. If you have any questions, please speak to one of your board members.
